lazy. random. rain.
Very uneventful. Very lazy. Very restful. Very needed.

It was a yummy... um... cookie cake? Thing? Anyway, I got the recipe here. Now THAT is my kind of recipe. I took thekind advice initiative and got some icing and wrote Tom a sweet message on my cookie..cake.. thing :)
Friday.
Woke up. Gymmed (is that a word?). Started cooking my (if I say so myself) yummy pot roast. Let it cook for 8, yes 8!, hours. If you follow me on Twitter, you saw where I tweeted about a-ahem-healthy dessert that I made for Tom--as seen in this high quality cell phone picture!

(On a side note, he had a very bad week BUT got some good news on Friday! Never never underestimate the power of prayer!) He scarfed down everything I made like a mad-man and didn't taste it at all really enjoyed his meal. I made all of his favorite things! After he finished, he actually admitted that I can cook. That was worth it all for me.
Saturday.
I like to refer to this day as "Random." Why?
1) We went to the Grove Bowl. I got to see Shepard Smith on the big screen (I have an old lady crush on Sheppy.) After the game (this is where the random begins,) I was mistaken for a sophomore... in HIGH school. I'm not even a sophomore in college anymore!
2) After the Grove Bowl, I was watering my flowers and someone stopped, pulled in my driveway, and took my picture! No, I didn't know them. Yes, I was speechless..... Dang paparazzi.... :)
3)Me and Tom went to Kabuki for supper. Long story short, the hibachi chef was throwing eggs for us to catch in our mouths. These eggs were straight off of the grill. They were HOT. I missed. It went down my shirt. Hibachi chef acts like he is handing Tom some tongs so he can fish it out. I was embarrassed. Tom laughed.
Random, huh?
Sunday.
This morning was spent being a broken record playing with 20 craaaaazzzzyyy sweet babies in the OUMC nursery. I ♥ my job! After church a Sunday afternoon nap was in order. I woke up to a panicked Tom asking if I was alright. Yes, before you woke me up! Anywho, come to find out there was a tornado headed my way! It poured. It hailed. The wind blew. Then literally minutes later, it was over. You know what they say though!
Maybe these "April Showers"...
will hopefully bring some May flowers!

peace sign.
I can't believe I forgot to mention another present the Easter bunny got me! Yes, I know. He was good GREAT to me! I must have forgotten to mention this because I was wearing it!

It's a hammered peace sign bracelet with brown leather straps. Sorry about the horrible cell phone picture. I just realized (while I'm at work, clearly overwhelmed with things to do... ahem) that I didn't mention it and thought I should get on that.

My exhausting wonderful weekend!
How about a picture of a cute puppy to trick you into reading this to kick things off?
This is going to be a long post about a wonderful but BUSY weekend. You might want to grab a drink and a snack because you could be here a while. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Friday.
Tom and I got upway too early and headed to Jackson.
Tom and I got up
There we parted ways. He headed to Puckett and I headed to Meadville.
Once I got to Meadville, I had a wedding (!!!) to go to! I told you there were some interesting things going on! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ashley.
After the wedding, it was off to our house to dye eggs!
I didn't even get a picture of the finished products :(
Saturday
A FULL day of shopping in Brookhaven. We went to every store imaginable. I don't want to talk about it because it STILL makes me tired!
My thoughts exactly Charli...
Sunday
Easter!! One of my FAVORITE holidays! I love everything about it. The colors, the gifts (I'm still a child) and the REAL reason for Easter... Knowing that the tomb is empty and He is alive!
I woke up this morning to this:
The BEST Easter basket!
I got Life is Good stickers, a HOBO Rachel wallet in pear, candy, gum, and...
fabric flowers found at The Pleated Poppy
How cute will these be on a purse... shirt... well.... Anything!
I also got my camera strap cover!
If you follow me on Twitter you are tired of hearing about my camera strap already know I lovvvvvvvvvvvve it! The easter bunny got it from Shealynn's Etsy shop. I am obsessed with Etsy. They have most everything and it's all handmade!
After a fun but too short visit home, I'm finally back in Oxford and it's time for bed because these
are exhausted and need some rest.

I'm a slacker.
I stupidly kindly left my computer at home so Mama could use it instead of Allan's PIECE OF JUNK computer. I figured it would be okay to leave for only two weeks! I can deal without it for that long!" WRONG. I'm having withdrawls. I want to upload pictures. I want to blog. I need my computer. I'll be getting it back this weekend (Easter!!) and update when I get back to Oxford. There are a lot of interesting things happening this weekend so I'm SURE I'll have lots to say ;)
Now, back to work before I get in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!
